Sandra Johnson M.Ed, LPC, LMFT

sandra_picI am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  My area of expertise is in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Among some of the difficulties treated include conduct and oppositional/defiant behaviors, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief/loss, anger, stress, family issues, marital issues, and boundaries.

I assist clients in understanding how thoughts and feelings influence behaviors. I approach counseling from a cognitive behavioral perspective in which patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that interfere with present functioning are examined. Various other perspectives and strategies are used based on the client’s individual issues and needs. I see clients starting at age 5 and older and from all backgrounds.

I am passionately committed to our philosophy at Northshore Center For Wellness that we exist for the client. I view counseling as an opportunity to work with individuals who are at a difficult place in life and access my services to help them move beyond that difficult place.
